In the present day southwest, twenty-two year old Christyne Keitell moves into an estate inhabited by the restless spirit of a young Cambodian woman murdered viciously years earlier. Through a series of supernatural encounters—including a vision in which Christyne experiences the murder firsthand through the eyes of the victim—Christyne comes to realize that she can no longer fight nor deny her new-found clairvoyant abilities and learns she must embrace her gifts to find the killer of the innocent girl and give the spirit peace.
